Abstract
Abstract—The aims of this study are to find out verbal and non-verbal signs in selected Luxcrime advertisements and to identify the meaning of verbal and non-verbal signs in selected Luxcrime advertisements. Verbal sign is about something that deals with text and words. Meanwhile, the non-verbal signs appears as pictures that used to explain the meaning of something. The data were taken from official instagram of @luxcrime.id. This study used a descriptive qualitative method. This study used theory of semiotics by Saussure (1983: 65) which is used to analyze the verbal and non-verbal sign. Theory of meaning by Barthes” (1997) which is used to analyze verbal and non-verbal sign in selected Luxcrime advertisements. In addition, the supporting theory of color term by Wierzbicka (1996).
